Eka Cinemas was founded in 2015 by Vipin Radhakrishnan and Ashand Raju, driven by a shared passion for unique, emotionally true cinema. Their journey into independent filmmaking began in 2016 with their debut feature, Ave Maria. EKA Cinemas is a production house dedicated to "Hyper-Local Stories with Global Resonance." Our vision is to take deeply rooted, regional South Indian narratives—with all their cultural nuances—and present them through a sophisticated, international cinematic lens. We aim to produce high-quality, story-driven films that combine artistic vision with social relevance and resonate deeply with audiences.
We invest in original voices, providing a development ecosystem from scripts to designing feature projects and pre-visualization. We are the bridge for visionary filmmakers, empowering them to create works that challenge perspectives and spark worldwide cultural conversations.
